SnowSchool at Bogus Basin

Leave the school building behind and enter an alpine classroom without walls! SnowSchool offers a science-based field trip focused on experiential outdoor learning for school children. Bundled up and fitted with snowshoes, kids venture out into the winter wildlands to discover the wondorous world of nature in the winter. The day on snowshoes brings science topics to life outside on the snow; science is experienced in person and summed up in a writing assignment.

SnowSchool at Bogus Basin, which was initiated by Winter Wildlands Alliance, is housed in Frontier Point Lodge and is available to school groups by appointment only on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from January through mid-March! Call 332-5390 to speak with the SnowSchool coordinator and register your class. Cost of this program is $5 per person.
