Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour Comes to Boise February 3 – 5, 2008

For the twelfth straight year the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour is stopping in Boise for three exciting nights of films.  Boise is one of more than 275 stops in 30 countries across the globe, but one of the largest showings of these mountain films in the Northwest.

This year’s tour features a collection of the most inspiring and thought-provoking action, environmental, and adventure mountain films. Traveling from remote landscapes and cultures to up close and personal with adrenaline-packed action sports, the 2007/2008 World Tour is an exhilarating and provocative exploration of the mountain world.

The Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour is produced by Mountain Culture at The Banff Centre, and features award-winning films and audience favorites from approximately 300 films entered in the annual festival in Banff.

Join the Boise Nordic Foundation when the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour brings the spirit of outdoor adventure to Boise, at the Egyptian Theatre February 3 – 5, 2008.  Shows begin at 7:00 p.m. each night.  Food and adult beverages will be served.  And there will be a prize raffle each night, with proceeds going to the Bogus Basin Junior Nordic Team.

Tickets to the Banff mountain Film Festival are on sale now at all Select-A-Seat locations, online at www.idahotickets.com or by phone at 426-1494.  Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 day of the show.  Student and senior tickets are $12 and a three-night pass is available for $40.

Proceeds from the Banff Mountain Film Festival go to support the programs of the Boise Nordic Foundation, the organization that built more than six kilometers of solar powered trail lights on the Bogus Basin Nordic trail system.
