"Holiday Mish Mash” Party and FREE Lift Tickets

March 25, 2013 (Boise, ID) – Bogus Basin will end the 2012-13 season with a “Holiday Mish Mash” Party on Sunday, March 31st. Anyone dressed in a holiday costume (or any costume) will ski FREE and Easter Bunnies also get a FREE cocoa. Come up and enjoy your mountain with spring skiing/boarding, outdoor music, and a scavenger hunt to celebrate the end of the season! If conditions allow, Bogus will open for a “Guest Appreciation Weekend” on April 6th & 7th, but March 31st is still the closing party.

Deer Point (#1), Superior (#3), Coach (#7), Easy Rider Carpet will operate from 9:00am – 4:30pm over the weekend. Morning Star (#2) will operate for access to the Pioneer Lodge from the base area. The JR Simplot lodge will be open for food/beverage service and rental equipment and lessons are available. The Frontier Point Lodge (Nordic Center) will be open from 9:00am – 4:30pm. The Pioneer Lodge will be available for locker and restroom access only and the Pepsi GoldRush Tubing hill is closed for the season.

The sales office on Bogus Basin road is open for those individuals that still need to purchase a 2013-14 season pass at the discounted rate of $259 before the end of March. Prices increase April 1st.

DETAILS for Sunday, March 31st:
FREE TICKETS with “Holiday” themed costumes
     o Dress up and represent your favorite holiday and receive a FREE lift ticket for the day
     o Easter Bunny costumes receive a FREE cocoa; pick up your token for the cocoa at the Simplot ticket office

PBR Ribbon Hunt
     o Scavenger hunt – more than 50 big Pabst Blue Ribbons will be hidden all over the mountain.
     o No registration – FREE / Open to "big" kids (21+ yrs to win)
     o 9:00 am start -- begin hunting as soon as the lifts start running. No check-in required.
     o 2:30 pm finish -- bring collected ribbons to the flats in front of the JR Simplot Lodge for giveaways and awards

Spring Kids Scavenger Hunt
     o Scavenger hunt – more than 50 big flowers will be hidden all over the mountain
     o No registration – FREE / Open to kids
     o 9:00 am start -- begin hunting as soon as the lifts start running. No check-in required.
     o 2:30 pm finish -- bring collected flowers to the flats in front of the JR Simplot Lodge for giveaways

Bogus Basin is a charitable organization dedicated to providing accessible, affordable, and year-round mountain recreation activities for people of all ages. Opened in 1942, Bogus Basin offers 2,600 acres of daytime skiable terrain and 165 acres for night skiing; seven lifts and two people-mover carpets; and an 800-foot tubing hill. The Nordic Center offers 37 kilometers of groomed trail for alpine recreation. Bogus Basin is located 16.5 miles north of Boise, Idaho and operates under a special use permit on the Boise National Forest under the USDA.
