Bogus Closes Night Operations for 2012-13 Season

Bogus Basin Closes Nights, Saturday, March 16th

March 15, 2013 (Boise, ID) – After three months of lit up nights, Bogus Basin will end night operations for the 2012-13 season on Saturday, March 16th.

Operating hours beginning Sunday, March 17th will be 9:00am-4:30pm and day tickets will be discounted to $38. The Nordic center will be open until 4:30pm.

All services will be available this weekend, including lessons with the Ski & Snowboard School, rental equipment at Black Diamond Sports, and food/beverage services at the JR Simplot Lodge and Pioneer Lodge. The sales office on Bogus Basin road is open for those individuals that need to purchase a season pass at the discounted rate of $259 before the end of March. The Pepsi GoldRush Tubing hill is closed for the season.

Saturday, March 16th
     Last day of night operations; 9:00am – 10:00pm
Sunday, March 17th
     Day operations; 9:00am – 4:30pm
     All lifts operating
     Tickets discounted to $38
Monday, March 18th – end of season (TBD)
     Day operations; 10:00am – 4:30pm weekdays, 9:00am – 4:30pm weekends
     Tickets discounted to $38
     Lifts operating daily (as conditions allow): Deer Point #1, Superior #3, Coach #7, Easy Rider carpet and Morning Star #2 for access to lodge and Pioneer trail only
     Pioneer Lodge open for locker access only

Bogus Basin is a charitable organization dedicated to providing accessible, affordable, and year-round mountain recreation activities for people of all ages. Opened in 1942, Bogus Basin offers 2,600 acres of daytime skiable terrain and 165 acres for night skiing; seven lifts and two people-mover carpets; and an 800-foot tubing hill. The Nordic Center offers 37 kilometers of groomed trail for alpine recreation. Bogus Basin is located 16.5 miles north of Boise, Idaho and operates under a special use permit on the Boise National Forest under the USDA.
