GET LOUDER FOR POWDER!

Bogus Basin community plans event in support of non-profit recreation area For immediate release 1/7/2012Bogus Basin holds a special place in the hearts of Boiseans for close, affordable, year-round mountain recreation. Unfortunately, this year will be the latest opening, on record, for the mountain’s 69 year history. Operating as a non-profit, 501(c)(3) charitable organization, Bogus Basin is a true community asset that employs as many as 700 people during a winter season. It's a tough weather year, possibly the kind that only rolls around about every 69 years or so. Given this disruption to our normal winter and the financial implications it has created, the call is out to the community to rally around OUR mountain! Thanks to an all-volunteer effort and many sizable contributions and gifts, on Wednesday, January 18th, Boise is going to GET LOUDER FOR POWDER on the Basque Block. Long time Bogus Basin supporter, CURTIS STIGERS will host and headline an evening of live music, food, beer and wine with special deals for valued season pass holders. Wear ski clothes and goggles, because we are going to bring the snow! There will be $1 beer and $1 Bogus Burgers for current season pass holders (while supplies last/must present current pass). Hayden Beverage, Double R Ranch, Sysco Foods, Pepsi and others have generously donated the food and beverages. Bogus Basin would like to thank its many community partners and thousands of season pass holders for their support and positive attitudes during this difficult time. Supporters are certain if “We Get Louder for Powder” it will bring the snow! Come out and support OUR MOUNTAIN at this free community event. There will be more information on the Bogus Basin website www.bogusbasin.org and on the Bogus Basin Facebook page.
