2008 Nature Hikes

Bogus Basin does not operate life-served mountain biking trails.  However, we have newly constructed biking trails for summer enjoyment.  You are welcome to hike the trails and enjoy the alpine environment on your own. Our lodges are available for private group reservations for weddings, conferences and retreats May - September. Call 332-5266 for lodge availability or look here for pricing and menus.

JUNE 5 - (Thursday) 10am-12pm
FREE Nature Walk with Boise National Forest Service Rangers.  Meet 10am at Frontier Point Lodge. One hour walk/hike, no pre-registration needed.  Bring water bottle, light jacket and sturdy shoes.  Dogs must be on leash at all times. 

JUNE 28 - (Saturday) Star Party at Frontier Point Lodge 7pm-midnight.
Open to the public, no registration required. Donations appreciated. Bring a flashlight and warm jacket.  Sunset Supper (spaghetti, bread, salad and dessert $9 adults/$6 kids) to purchase 7:30pm-9pm.  Night sky constellation tour at dark (about 11pm). Meet 10am at Shafer Butte Picnic area, approximately 4 miles west of  Frontier Point Nordic Lodge.  One hour walk/hike, no pre-registration needed.  Bring water bottle, light jacket and sturdy shoes. AUGUST 2 - (Saturday) 10am-12pm
