Bogus Basin is truly community-owned, supported entirely by everyone who uses the programs and services offered by the recreational area. The purchase of season passes, tickets, and lessons are not considered tax-deductible. However, effective January 2005, Bogus Basin Recreational Association (BBRA) is a recognized 501(c)(3) charitable organization and direct contributions and in-kind gifts to Bogus Basin are tax-deductible for individuals and corporations.

As a non-profit community association, Bogus Basin cannot sell stock or solicit private investors. Like any capital-intensive operation serving a growing community, Bogus Basin requires higher levels of equity to be financially healthy and to maintain operations. During good snow years, the area's efficient systems generate enough operating surplus to grow equity. However, in poor snow years the bulit-up equity can be drained, leaving the area vulnerable. Bogus Basin needs a solid equity base to continue to serve its community role and is asking individuals and businesses for contributions NOW.

Funding future improvements at Bogus Basin is something about which we are all passionate and want to make happen quickly. There is an extensive Master Development Plan but further needed improvements are a long way off without community support and involvement today.

Now, more than ever, community support is necessary for Bogus Basin to continue to serve its role in enhancing the quality of life we all enjoy in the Treasure Valley
